Tip of the Week

What Do You Ask To Choose?

When you are traveling (either sending the children, or taking a family Specifically Horseback Riding Vacation), what do you ask?

When you Email or Call to make inquiries or arrangements for your individual, child or family vacation at a Dude Ranch, what do you ask?

First, determine the durations available. From there, you will have a better idea of choosing based on what you and the others involved in your stay want to be doing, and compare this with what is offered at the Ranch.

Should you want other activities, expected when you will be staying a week or more, or if you want to spend the entire week on a packing or hunting or exploration trip, all of these determine their own specific questions. Some that are necessary for all include: level of Rider in group on Rides; level of Horses in Group on Rides; are all rides supervised; hours in the saddle daily; speed traveled daily; availability of other activities...and whether or not in a group or simply individual or family unit; times expected to arrive and depart; group or individual and expectations of Ranch of the Riders; Return Rate of Visitors; Whether or not references from past vacationers are available; what you need to bring, and specifically what the Ranch supplies; The Ranches suggestions for your time frame and experience level. These are but a brief sampling of the questions that you can ask, and DO NOT EVER BE AFRAID TO ASK TOO MUCH!!!!!! , for the remainder of this article, go to the Discipline of the Week 07/15/01 Revue here at Good GO!
