Tip of the Week

Each rider in the class must ride bareback on their horse. You tuck a "buck" underneath your upper thigh and then compete against the other riders in the class.

The last rider remaining with the "buck" still under their thigh, wins all of the other riders "bucks" that have dropped out during the class.

The Judge or Announcer of the Class is to ask the class for the usual commands of Walk-Trot-Canter, and can advance and ask for Trot or Canter over Cross Poles or Low Verticals. To even ask for further difficulty, you can be requested for immediate stops at any gait performed.

The Tip for this Class is: make sure your horse is sweaty first...if you wet him down with a hose, that won`t work, but a sweaty horse is tacky to ride. Also, it helps if the rider wears sweaty spandex type pants. SO, get your sister or your friend to wear spandex pants all day and sweat them up, and then for The Ride a Buck Class, you put them on, and try to win the "BUCKS".
