Tip of the Week

Indoor & Outdoor Arenas

1) When entering an Indoor or an Outdoor arena, you should always announce yourself BEFORE opening any gates or door. Shout loudly "Coming In" and then wait 30 seconds before proceeding. This will allow anyone who is so focused on the performance in the arena, to prepare themselves, and their horse, for your entry. This type of an entrance will always prevent accidents from happening.

2) Always perform a complete tack check on all pieces of your tack and equipment. Even if you only checked everything that morning, be sure to check before every ride.

The HANOVERIAN...

What is a Hanoverian?
The Hanoverian is a noble, correctly-proportioned, warmblood horse with natural balance, impulsion and elegant, elastic movements characterized by a floating trot, a round rhythmic canter, and a ground-covering walk. The breed`s historic home is in today`s state of Lower Saxony, in northern Germany, the former Kingdom of Hanover where a flourishing horse-breeding industry has existed for 400 years. The Hanoverian has been dispersed to all five continents and represents one of the most prominent breeds of riding horses in the world today.
